The first release of smalldocs builds websites from Quarto projects. It makes these parts of a site:
- pages with a navbar, a sidebar and a table of contents
- notebooks, with the outputs that were saved in them
- reference pages, made from the code of a package
- listings, with categories and a feed
- any Bootswatch theme, in a light version and a dark version
The command smalldocs preview builds the site again after each change. The command
smalldocs publish gh-pages puts the site on GitHub Pages.
smalldocs was made to build the documentation of a few projects without Quarto. It builds those sites with the same pages, anchors and links as Quarto.
